Embark on a Journey of Creativity with Our Young Artists!

Important Notice
Due to a larger-than-expected number of submissions, the deadline has been extended to July 15, 2024, as requested by many participants.

As the crystal-clear lakes reflect the purity of snow-capped peaks and vibrant lupines and lavender bloom along the roadsides, New Zealand unveils its natural canvas for the budding artists of tomorrow.

As the paints the landscape in hues fit for a divine palette, we invite children from around the world to share their vision of New Zealand’s beauty in our inaugural International Youth Watercolour Competition!

2024: Celebrating Young Talent!
In a resounding success, our first competition showcased the creativity and joy of young artists. Now, we eagerly anticipate the next chapter of this artistic journey.

Join us as we celebrate the boundless imagination of our youth and unveil their masterpieces at the historic Otiria Antique Train Station—a cherished national landmark and a symbol of creativity and inspiration.

Our esteemed panel of judges and invited guests includes renowned art masters from New Zealand and around the world. You’ll have the opportunity to exhibit your work alongside theirs in the legendary exhibition hall.

Our Exhibition Venue

Grand Central Serviced Apartments based in the Old Auckland Railway Station – a spectacular heritage building right next to the Spark Arena on the Parnell side of the CBD. The entry to the building is through the historically and architecturally significant Grand and Lesser Lobbies, beautiful spaces which were intended to echo the presence of the Grand Central Station, New York.
